{"id":28093,"date":"2020-04-11T14:59:07","date_gmt":"2020-04-11T14:59:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.achimbrueckner.de\/dxradio\/php\/wordpress\/?p=28093"},"modified":"2020-04-11T14:59:07","modified_gmt":"2020-04-11T14:59:07","slug":"world-music-radio-is-back-on-15805-khz","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.achimbrueckner.de\/dxradio\/php\/wordpress\/?p=28093","title":{"rendered":"World Music Radio is back on 15805 kHz"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>World Music Radio is back on 15805 kHz<\/p>\n<p>After having been off the air since September 2019, World Music Radio (WMR) is now back on 15805 kHz using a 3 element yagi beamed south &#8211; every Saturday and Sunday at 07-20 UTC.<\/p>\n<p>The transmitter power is 200 Watts and the signal is audible almost worldwide for dedicated short wave enthusiasts, also known as DXers and DX listeners.<\/p>\n<p>However a very good receiver, a good aerial and a listening site without man made interference &#8211; as well as patience \u2013 and listening at the right time of the day is needed to catch WMR on 15805.<\/p>\n<p>Best reception is in Southern Europe, but it is also possible to receive 15805 kHz in the Middle East, all over Africa, in parts of South America and the Eastern part of North America. Also in Asia \u201con a good day\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes 15805 suffers from some interference from a Chinese station on 15800 kHz.<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes short skip propagation is providing excellent reception in Central Europe.
