In the 50s, RTL shunted the English programmes off to the 208m MW slot, but RTL continues in French covering most of Europe. Now they claim they can no longer afford the 6 MegawattHour power bill that the 2,000 kilowatt LW transmitter draws. Un Grande Hote.
