Easter 1979
* FIN. The increase in Finnish free radio continued this year with another SW station, Radio El Bimbo. This station, along with another to appear at the same time, Radio El Condor Pasa, uses only 3 watts, and both are relayed by Dutch stations on 1332 kHz. Yet another station to start this Easter in Finland is Radio 48, they use 30 watts, and have very good modulation.

Bob Edwards, Mark Ian the engineer, Paul James – and his mum – and Dave Birdman all feature. The rigs turn off during quiet sections of songs, which is a technical glitch with the links and rigs for Thameside. A spoof interview with the band ELO, on a broken phone box, plus a spoof ad for Duracell batteries with miners losing power in their lanterns… The engineers also locked Dave in the studio so he cannot use the toilet.
