FRS Holland 7 June 2026

Dear FRS Friends,

Last Sunday, 31 May, we were on the air from 19:00 until just before 23:00 CEST. It was a rather unusual evening, mainly due to the band conditions. As a result, there were large so-called “dead zones” (areas with no reception), as well as major differences in signal strength between the frequencies we were using. Sometimes a signal would come booming in at a location where nothing had been heard earlier that evening.

Because we were active on several frequencies, there was usually at least one frequency that could be received well at most locations. Fortunately so.

The broadcast on 5840 kHz also caused some confusion. It turned out that the last two shows transmitted on that frequency were not the new May programmes, but recordings from a year earlier! Therefore, on Sunday 7 June, the complete broadcast will be repeated on a frequency close to 5875 kHz. Times remain unchanged: 16:52–20:50 UTC / 18:52–22:50 CEST.

If you were unable to listen last week, this is your chance to enjoy almost four hours of FRS-Holland (once again). Have a good weekend,

73s Peter V. on behalf of the FRS crew

UNIDs 6270 – 6310 Khz

Radio Waves International RIP

I was shocked by the news that the OP of Radio Waves International passed away 2 days ago. RWI relayed many stations in the 80th and 90th and was well received on 11401 Khz and 7473 Khz. Lately he was active via Channel 292. Peter Hills RIP.

Radio Likedeeler 6290 Khz

Radio Likedeeler was heard tonight with live show on 6290 Khz. The station was before on 6285 Khz with some QRM by Radio Dead on 6280 Khz. Onkel Bernhard talked to listeners in the chatbox and announced email-address radiolikedeeler@gmx.net. Reception was R=2 in United Kingdom, more static and fading tham yesterday, also the signal was today lower.
