RIP Paul Davidson

It is with deep sadness, we’ve been informed of the passing of Paul Davidson, who launched & ran Anoraks Ireland. The Irish Pirate Radio Archive at Dublin City University, Pirate.ie Radiowaves Ireland & The DX Archive are grateful that Paul agreed to donate his entire Anoraks Ireland collection including tapes, photos, press clippings and memorabilia to the better understanding of Irish radio history & social history. His legacy will provide a steady diet for media and history scholars into the future. Our condolences to Paul’s family, friends and former colleagues. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam

Happy new year / Guten Rutsch

Happy new year to all of you with good health and much more peace in the world.

In 2023 we plan to issue a best of audio files of years 2000 to 2023 as the amount of files is overwhelming. Its also a good chance for me to listen to nice shows again.
Another project is to scan old QSL-cards and info sheets from the years 1988 to 1994 but I still have not found a suitable scanner. There is a lot of rubbish on the market any hints for a good scanner would be welcomed.
