Pirate Radio Hall of Fame Update May 2025

I have just updated the Pirate Radio Hall of Fame. New this month: We discover more about Radio Invicta DJ Eddie Jerold; we continue leafing through Martin Ransom’s scrap-books of old press cuttings and reach February-May 1966 (there was a lot going on then: Caroline South was using the borrowed mv Cheeta II, Radio 270 was failing to get on the air and the Swinging Radio England / Britain Radio project was starting up); sadly we have the deaths of some radio people to report – a broadcaster, a station owner and a writer; and we have a couple of radio-related articles from the humorous magazine Punch, one of them written by Kenny Everett. All this and much more at https://www.offshoreradio.co.uk/

Key Channel Radio Easter Maratho 2025

Dear listener, you have heard the “Easter Marathon”, a program broadcast from Key Channel Radio a free radio from north of Italy
KCR has been broadcasting since January 2016 from a location on the hills of the Emilian Apennines (Italy). We use a commercial transmitter with a maximum power of 400 W (in use 250 W)and a self-built Morgain 48/88 Antenna.
There are three of us who manage it, I take care of the technical part, programs. Lilla, my girlfriend takes care of important statistics on listeners and small studies on propagation. Jasmine, a dear friend of ours takes care of the graphics, the promos and QSLs are her creations.
We are an open radio, we have collaborated with several German Pirate Radios, Doctor Tim, Radio BZN and more. Now we collaborate with Radio Monique, Bart even made a broadcast and several Jingles for us. (Pirate for Peace Member.
Many thanks for the nice reception report!
We hope you can heard KCR more, stay tuned. 🙂
