On This Day… May 30th.
\n30 May 1983 GBR. Maidenhead. 103.0 FM. First broadcast takes place of Radio Pythagoras. Initially with 4 watts, but soon to increase to 20 watts. This station is to also put out about 4 SW broadcasts in a few years time and cover much of the UK and Germany. The music played includes Dead Kennedys, Eric Satie, Brian Eno, Judy Tzuke, Jon Hassell, Beatles (sorry), Crass and Phil Manzanera all feature in the first show. Later shows included Steve Reich, Philip Glass, Penguin Cafe Orchestra, The Enid, Jan Garbarek, Carla Bley and Einst\u00fcrzende Neubauten, Ivor Biggun and Bela Bart\u00f3k in the same show!
