\n+ GBR. Bromley. 1125 kHz MW and 92.0 FM. While Radio Argus London as well as Radio Free London and Rock FM [RFM] are using 92.0 FM, Argus continues to try out different MW channels. Now they use a channel that is to become their favourite… 1125 kHz. Its wavelength \u2018266m\u2019 is to give the opt-out service for the older music its name \u2013 Planet 266 – felt to be \u2018anoracky\u2019 enough without being contrived.
\n(On the last point, it seems several rock stations have tried different services as alternative or opt-out channels to the main one, Alices and Phoenix, RFM and Jennifer. In the case of Argus the name of the opt-out laidback channel changed names a bit. Radio Seagull, was reincarnated but that was felt too contrived, so it was dropped in favour of Union Silver, [most of its music being around 25 years old, so not ‘gold’ which we argued should be 50..]. Planet 266 was the ultimate name, and at one time we had two aerial wires down the garden for 1593 and 1125, with a simple switch panel that allowed the mixer output and a walkman output to go to either channel or both!) \ud83d\ude42
