\n04 Nov. 1956 HUN. Budapest. 05:20 Imre Nagy, Prime Minister of Hungary, appears on Free Radio Budapest, to announce that at daybreak Soviet forces had started an attack on Hungary, and to notify the world of this. The Hungarian National Anthem \u2013 not the communist one \u2013 is then played. A few hours later, at 08:10 the final broadcast is heard \u2018Help Hungary\u2026 Help, Help, Help\u2019 before going off the air. Many of those involved in this and other broadcasts such as Radio Free Petofi and Radio Free Gyor are to be executed by the Soviets over the next few months.
