Good news at the end of the year.
Just in time for January 1, we have received a license for 6070 kHz for another 10 years. We would like to thank the Federal Network Agency in Berlin for granting the license at relatively short notice.
Furthermore, we can now offer broadcasts via a new transmission partner: Noratus in Armenia. The following transmitters and services are available on shortwave and medium wave:
Shortwave from 75 to 16 meters with 100, 300, and 1000 kW.
Medium wave 1314 kHz with 1000 kW for the Middle East and Africa.
Medium wave 1395 kHz with 300 kW and omnidirectional radiation.

World Music Radio Transmitter Update

Transmitter update:
3965 kHz went on the air October 29th 2025 from Hvidovre (Copenhagen), 24/7, with 600W. After a couple of days something went wrong and power fell to approx. 50W. Yesterday broadcasting on 3965 was stopped. The transmitter must be repaired. Hopefully back on the air soon.
5930 kHz now 24/7 from Ishøj (Copenhagen) with 600W. The transmitter site for 5930 was Bramming (near Esbjerg) until October 5th 2025 with 150W, and then Ishøj until there was an issue with the audio feed. So – back from Bramming November 6th till November 15th. But since yesterday November 15th at 13 UTC – 5930 is back on the air from the Ishøj site. Bramming is kept as a backup site for the time being.
15700 kHz – daily 08-16 UTC. Transmitter site North of Randers. Power: 300W.
25800 kHz – 24/7. Transmitter site is Mårslet, South of Aarhus. Power is around 150W, but there are some issues with the transmitter.
And a note to the QSL-hunters. The World Music Radio QSL-card for 2025 has now been designed and QSL’s will finally be sent out (full details printed cards – and no details eQSLs) before yearend. Address for reception reports: wmr@wmr.dk. Printed cards available only for return postage (10 euro). Can be paid via PayPal to wmr@wmr.dk. Apologies for the serious delay.
