New books

I thought you might like to know that two books about shortwave broadcasting and DXing history that I have been working on for the last three years have now been published. They are /Listening on the Short Waves, 1945 to Today,/ and /Broadcasting on the Short Waves, 1945 to Today./ These books pick up where my first book, /On the Short Waves, 1923-1945: Broadcast Listening in the Pioneer Days of Radio,/ left off. FMK Radiotreffen

Das nächste und vorerst LETZTE FMK-Radiotreffen wird in Verbindung mit dem DX-Camp des Rhein-
Main-Radio-Clubs in Langenselbold stattfinden.

FM KOMPAKT wird

vom Freitag, dem 03. 10. (spätmittags),
bis Sonntag, dem 05. 10. 2008,

“vor Ort” sein.

Für Samstag, dem 04. 10., haben sich u.a. Roger Kirk, Nick Barker, Christian Brülhart, Bruno (R.Waveshape) und Jens Hofstadt angekündigt.

Auch der Moderator der Yahoogroup “Geschichte-FR” wird an diesem Tag zugegen sein.
