Staßfurt war einmal der Standort des größten Fernsehgerätewerkes der DDR. In der DDR kannte also jeder den Namen der Stadt, auch wenn die Radios und Fernsehgeräte später unter dem anonymeren Kürzel RFT verkauft wurden.

Auch heute noch werden hier bei der Firma TechniSat High-Tech-Geräte der Fernsehtechnik hergestellt. Um die Geschichte der Rundfunktechnik kümmert sich ein rühriger Verein mit einem Museum.

adxb-DL Fußball-WM 2010 Kontest

Die Assoziation junger DXer e.V. (adxb-DL) richtet aus Anlass der
Fußball-Weltmeisterschaft 2010 in Südafrika vom 11. Juni bis 11. Juli 2010 einen Kontest aus. Jeder Kurzwellenhörer ist eingeladen, daran teilzunehmen. Eine Mitgliedschaft in einem Kurzwellenhörerverein ist nicht erforderlich.

Zu hören ist jeweils eine Rundfunkstation aus den 32 an der WM teilnehmenden Ländern. Dabei sind alle Frequenzbereiche von Langwelle, Mittelwelle und Kurzwelle zugelassen. Piraten-, Untergrund- und Utility-Sender werden nicht gewertet. Ebenso ausgeschlossen sind Sendungen via Internet-Streaming. Programmdetails sollen für einen Empfang von mindestens 10 Minuten niedergeschrieben werden.

Der Senderstandort muss sich innerhalb des Staatsgebietes des zu wertenden Landes befinden. Der Empfang von Relaisausstrahlungen ist erlaubt, zählt aber für das Land, wo sich die Sendeanlage befindet. Das bedeutet also, dass zum Beispiel KBS World aus Skelton, England, nicht für Süd-Korea, sondern für England zählt.

Sollte der Empfang eines oder mehrerer Länder nicht gelingen, können Sie ersatzweise zwei Joker einsetzen:

2. Empfang der Sonderstation zur Fußball-WM ZS1ØWCS während des
Kontestzeitraumes

Jeder Teilnehmer erhält eine Urkunde mit seiner Plazierung und Gesamtpunkte. Der Bestplazierte gewinnt das Buch “Sender & Frequenzen 2011” zum Erscheinungsdatum Ende 2010, der Zweitplazierte erhält das “Vademecum für Kurzwellenhörer” als Reprint auf CD (herausgegeben von der ADDX). Für den Drittplazierten gibt es ein adxb-DL T-Shirt der Größe XL.

Die Teilnehmergebühr beträgt 3 Euro (in gültigen, ungestempelten Briefmarken der Deutschen Post) oder 3 gültige IRC.

All India Radio will broadcast the following special programs in connection with the Republic Day celebrations on 26th January, 2010

25 January 2010: 1330 UTC: President Mrs. Pratibha Devisingh Patil’s
address to the nation. This will be broadcast by all stations of AIR. Delhi frequencies are 5015 6030 6085 9575 & 9835. Regional stations on SW are using 60 MB frequencies at that time. Look out especially Kohima 4850 (1000 to 1630 UTC).

26 January 2010: Running Commentary of Republic Day parade from 0350 UTC
