Jane Brown who prefers the late-night shows, gets the night shift, and when she has had enough, continuous music goes through to Ginny Wilson in the morning. This is the approximate rundown for the next month or so, with changes to the timings at weekends, and some prerecorded shows for when DJs cannot make it for some reason

25 Jul. 1987. GBR. Redruth. The last day of the 1503 kHz MW balloon aerial, which has to be removed by 17:00. Radio Argus Cornwall taped shows are announcing the close of the service, and telling people that the station will be back in a day or so. Meanwhile the aerial wire has been attached at the warehouse end, the earth wires run, and the pole erected, with the aerial wire; a mammoth job, in which Pete Davis, Bill Lyons and Sid Jackall managed to fit in a few hours. 17:00, Ginny takes the rig from the superstore, and takes it to the garage studio, before returning to ensure the aerial wire is cut as far back as possible. In the meantime, by 18:00, the rig is being tuned up, and by 18:30 a joint live show with all four DJs is going out!

+ GBR. Colchester. 93.9 FM. After 42 days off the air, Freedom Overflow returns to the air, from a new studio. The name of the programme today is ‘Yippee it’s the grass season party!’ Freedom Overflow is to continue through the summer, on Wednesday nights and occasional Sundays.
