Yesterday I realised that some explanation was needed for the various codes, etc., being used. The explanation for these are in the opening sections of the base document, and included below…
An Asterisk* denotes either more details are needed, (especially directly after a year or month),
A plus + denotes one of several events on the same date for most years. Some years, where more details are expected, may show a +for a single entry at present.
The word ‘rig’ is used to refer to a transmitter.
To give a ‘tidy’ appearance to the document country names are three letters as determined by the IOC, thus GBR is Great Britain, NED is Nederlands and so on. The exception being ‘offshore’ which is in full and in a blue font. Details of the vessels involved are added where known. ‘???’ means unknown Country.

18 Jul. 1987 GBR. Redruth. A garage with mains is found that backs onto an abandoned warehouse’s grounds, the rent is cheap, and paid for after a viewing, in cash, to a landowner who asks no questions and gets told no lies.

Argus staff get out before they arrive and the hotel is somehow kept unaware of the station being based there. Impact had tried to inform on Argus to the hotel management but the management could not find the aerial when they looked, and the studio had been packed away into a wardrobe and locked as a precaution.

DJs Dave Redding (19), and Brian Jenkins (21), are just finishing a programme, GPO officials confiscate (steal) the rig, tape recorders, crystals and, more importantly, a list of names and addresses of other free radio operators.
