Documentary: The Story of the Ross Revenge

Excellent 35 minute documentary in Hour 3 of Robbie Owen’s Juke Box Drive on Corby Radio yesterday

Narrated by Peter Phillips, this is the story of how Radio Caroline found the Ross Revenge, acquired the vessel, and then fitted it out as a radio ship. Lots of detail from Peter Chicago and Charlie Taylor, along with stories from former crew members of the Ross when it was an Icelandic waters trawler. Script by Ray Clark. Followed by some of the songs from Tom Anderson’s August 1983 “Musical Journey” which re-opened the station.

Radio Pflasterstein 6235 Khz

Radio Pflasterstein war heute auf der 6235 Khz aktiv. Zunächst gab es nonstop Musik später dann moderiertes Programm Sendeschluss war dann um 2000 Utc weil der OP noch ein paar Drinks zu sich nehmen musste. Gutes Signal in UK S=7 R=3, evt war man vor ein paar Tagen schon mit nonstop Musik auf gleicher Frequenz op de Band. Kontaktmöglichkeiten sind keine bekannt.

Kiss AM 1593 Khz 15 August 2026

Kiss AM from Ireland will conduct a DX test on Saturday August 15th starting at 2100 utc. The transmission will consist of music along with voice and morse ID’s. The power will be 40 watts on 1593 khz providing a good DX challenge on a frequency is relatively clear in Europe. All correct reports will be verified by an eQSL.
