Echo Charlie band 6.6 Mhz

I read an article about truck drivers in Europe using the frequencies just below 40 meters to talk home. I haven’t heard any, but it makes sense, since ground waves travel hundreds of miles, or should I say hundreds of klicks.

There is an “Echo Charlie” band at around 6.6 MHz that used to be well populated but not so much these days there are others too such as 3.4 to 3.5 MHz, 13.9 to 14 MHz and others plus spot frequencies used by freebanders or pirates around HF.

FRS Holland 18 December 2022

Dear FRS-Holland friend,

Our traditional December broadcast is just around the corner!
The broadcast will be on next Sunday December 18th. FRS-Holland will continue a long time tradition, ringing out the year.
It was in the early 1980s that we started with December XMas broadcasts. Only very few times in the past 41 years, FRS was absent in December.

It will be worth while tuning our way, so we invite you to join us next week’s Sunday!
