Radio Pamela will be on air Tomorrow (Sunday) from 13.00 to 17.00 hours BST (British Summer Time) on 7640 khz with 4 hours of real classic oldies, Steve Most will be playing classics from the 50s, 60s and 70s only from 13.00 to 15.00 hours then Terry Philips oldies 15.00 to 17.00 hrs.

Radio Caroline have applied to Ofcom for a power increase on 648kHz from 4kw to 16kw and possibly 27kw at a later date.

16 Apr. 1984 GBR. The Sun newspaper has an article today mentioning Home Office officials raiding Radio KFM in Stockport yesterday, three directors were cautioned and a transmitter confiscated worth £750.

The shows had all been pre-recorded, though on 93.9 mHz FM! Just to confuse issues further, the title of today’s programmes is ‘The Mobile Radio Party’ claiming to be broadcast from a moving Suzuki Motorbike! Some listeners believe it!

On Tuesday April 25th at 19.00 (17.00 UTC) Radio Igloo will be on air with a tribute to The Pirateradio Queen, Britt Wadner, and to Radio Syd, the Swedish radiopirate who was transmitting from Cheeta 1 and Cheeta 2 in Öresund in the firts half of the 60-ties.
The progam is a coproduction from Radio Igloo and Malmö Shortwave Club.
There will be a mix mof Swedish and English and music that was played in Radio Syd´s programs.
The program will be transmitted on 5940 kHz.
Reports and comments are always welcome.

THE OFFSHORE RADIO YEARS re-visited
THE RADIO ATLANTIS STORY
A new DVD / Blu-ray audio visual documentary about the Flemish offshore radio station.
When Belgian businessman Adriaan van Landschoot was looking for ways to promote his record company and his clothing business, he found the ideal way was to hire airtime from Radio Caroline. One of the aims of Radio Atlantis was to promote Flemish and Belgian artists, that didn’t get airplay on other radio stations.
When Radio Caroline lost her antenna in October 1973, it marked the end of Atlantis’s association with the station. A better offer for airtime hire had been received, and Adriaan looked for his own ship.
The former Radio Condor ship was purchased, and became the new home for Radio Atlantis, featuring a Flemish service, and an international English language service.
The English service, programmed by Steve England, revived the atmosphere and fun of the British offshore stations of the 1960’s, through excellent use of production and jingles.
Atlantis came to an end with the passing of the Dutch MOA in 1974. But for just over a year, Atlantis is fondly remembered for the Flemish music, and the fun English service.
This new DVD / Blu-ray documentary, narrated by Steve England, features movies, pictures, interviews, jingles and airchecks.
