Nick’s keynote talk on the early years of Radio Jackie and landbased pirate radio in the UK topped off an excellent day of the first landbased pirate radio academic conference Signals From The Edge at the University of Bedfordshire in Luton on Saturday 1st March organised by Lawrie Hallett, Mark Wakely and myself (Mark Dezzani). We had talks from Poland, Switzerland (Daniel Goldman), Ireland, Greece and of course the UK. Thank you to all who participated and supported the event and helped to make it a great success. Thank you also to My-Key Vessel Georgeson who designed the award.”
