Pirate Radio Hall of Fame Update May 2025
I have just updated the Pirate Radio Hall of Fame. New this month: We discover more about Radio Invicta DJ Eddie Jerold; we continue leafing through Martin Ransom’s scrap-books of old press cuttings and reach February-May 1966 (there was a lot going on then: Caroline South was using the borrowed mv Cheeta II, Radio 270 was failing to get on the air and the Swinging Radio England / Britain Radio project was starting up); sadly we have the deaths of some radio people to report – a broadcaster, a station owner and a writer; and we have a couple of radio-related articles from the humorous magazine Punch, one of them written by Kenny Everett. All this and much more at https://www.offshoreradio.co.uk/
