24 Feb 1968. NZL. Work begins on the Kapuni, now renamed Tiri II for use by Radio Hauraki. She is 101 feet long and 194 tons.
24 Feb 1980. NED. 6265 kHz SW. Frim a secret location the first 10 watt transmission of FRSH [Free Radio Service Holland] goes out. However problems with the rig and aerial are to delay the start of regular broadcasts. The local mayor out walking his dog discovers the rig. It is later discovered the circuit diagram for the rig is incorrect as well.
24 Feb 1987. GBR Wolverhampton. Seven dti officials turn up at the Radio Orion site. This time with a search warrant. And a policeman. They carry out a full scale blitz of the station, the rig, tape decks, letters and a comms reciever are all confiscated [stolen]. Mike Wilson throws the 30 watt SW rig at one of the dti officials.
