01 May 1980 GBR. Colchester. 87.6 FM. Red Fox Radio starts broadcasting, using a Pan-Tech 1 watt kit rig, playing Top 40 music. Garry Lee appears for the first time. These low powered broadcasts continue until Feb. 1981, and the frequency drifts.
1 May 1987 GBR. Wirral 104.8 FM. Radio Julie is noted today, with a Phil Smith show

02 May 1982 GBR. South Acton. 90.2 FM. Thameside Radio is on air from 19:20 today, the late start due to a last-minute change of site, a raid the previous week they had lost two rigs in a raid, and Bob and Dave Birdman had been caught for the first time in almost 4 years of broadcasting.
02 May 1987 GBR. Wirral 104.4 FM. Radio Julie on air again, today, Andy Davies, Andy Rogers, Larry James and Neil Bishop appear

03 May 1975 GBR. London. 92.8 FM. Sun Radio is on air today with a Tony Randall show
03 May 1976 GBR. London. 92.4 FM. Radio Invicta is on air this Bank Holiday
03 May 1989 GBR London. 94.2 FM. Classic Radio, a soul and Reggae station is noted today, this station is usually a 24-hour station

4 May 1986 GBR. London. RFM caught by parkie, whilst attempting an install up a tree on Hampstead Heath!
