25 May 1974 FIN. 6249.5 kHz SW. Radio Scandinavia starts broadcasts. Most programmes are on Sundays, with some Saturday morning broadcasts, in Finnish and English.
25 May 1982 GBR. West London. 90.2 FM. Thameside Radio is on air with Paul James, Sarah, Dave Birdman and an apparent phone call to the Pope, who is visiting the UK
25 May 1988 GBR. Colchester. 91.0 FM. Freedom Overflow’s reserve transmitter is used with a test broadcast. Although the signal gets out well, it also causes TVI!
