+ GBR. 6270 or 6275 kHz SW. Radio Zodiac International is on air today, with Roger Vosene, Dave Hunt and Stuart Clarke
FIN. After testing a new balun antenna, Radio Flamingo closes down for some 10 months.
28 May 1982 GBR. London. 103.8 FM. DBC is noted on air with Chuckie, Dr Martin and Smilie, Lepke, and Rankin Miss P.
28 May 1984 GBR SW London. 1323 kHz MW. Radio Jackie is noted today with shows by Mike Knight and Dave Small
28 May 1986 GBR. London. RFM team meet with a rig builder at a pub in Kilburn, who is willing to build a 150-watt rig for £150.
28 May 1988 GBR. Dudley. 102.0 FM. Freedom 87.9 becomes Freedom 102, as the station has moved back up the band in an attempt to attract more listeners, however, over the next few months three big raids in four months brings the station to a temporary close. A return using a link from Old Hill to Dudley ends in both being raided.
There is an entry for ‘late May’ if anyone can put a precise date to it I would be grateful…
