05 Jul. 1981 GBR Scotland. 1413 kHz MW. Radio Kay is on air with 500 watts today, it is opposing the opening of the Torness Nuclear Power Station.
05 Jul. 1983 GBR Twickenham. 1503 kHz MW. On air 7 days a week, Sovereign Radio is on air today

+ GBR. Cornwall. A caller to a BBC Radio Cornwall phone in announces the Radio Argus Cornwall transmitter site. This person was later found to be an Impact Radio DJ. This was to prove the start of a prolonged battle between Argus and Impact.

+ GBR Saltash. 1494 kHz MW. Radio Argus Plymouth is on air with tapes shows 06:00-10:00 and 15:00-19:00
+ GBR Cornwall. 1602 kHz MW rig fails today, Radio Argus Cornwall continues on 1503 kHz [St Ives and 102.8 FM [St Agnes]. It is found that someone had cut the aerial at St Dennis causing the rig to fail. To avoid confusion, the 103.1 FM service at Newquay is to start calling itself the Radio Argus Atlantic Coast Service from today, its hours are to be clarified as weekday evenings and as many hours as possible at weekends.
