+ Offshore. 558 kHz MW. 18:00. Radio Veronica closes down, DJ Rob Out closes with the words ‘This is the end of Veronica, it is a pity for you, for Veronica and especially democracy in Holland.’ The Dutch national anthem is followed by a jingle that stops midway through.
+ Offshore. 19:00. Radio Atlantis also closes down after the goodbye show is broadcast
+ Offshore. 20:00. Radio Northsea International closes down with the English and Dutch DJs and management, followed by the RNI theme, ‘Man of Action.’ Listeners who have gone out in small boats to witness the event, throw their radios into the sea when RNI closes down

The station says it intends to have ‘sponsored hours’ as opposed to conventional adverts, but states ‘this remains to be seen’
