+ GBR. Leyton 92.0 FM. LWR is on air today
+ GBR. Bromley. This is the day Radio Argus London starts looking around at other FM channels, following the LWR problem. As Argus is on 92.0 FM every weekday, while Radio Free London is only on-air Saturday evenings and Rock FM [RFM], only Sundays, Argus suffers most, particularly as their ‘engineer’ has nowhere near the intelligence or skill of the other two stations and the signal is thus a lot weaker. Radio Argus London tries out RFM’s old 94.3 mHz channel, and is to also experiment with 99.9 and 99.6 mHz. Around this time the MW aerial is damaged, so all Argus’ programmes have been on FM for a while, the FM rig is also getting low in power.
