* GBR London. 199m MW, [1507 kHz] Radio Nelson loses Libby Caroline, due to ill health and Henry Morgan leaves to join a ‘legal’ station abroad. Alan Ross seems to be the only person left until someone else joins who takes over the name ‘Henry Morgan.’ At the same time Libby’s sister agrees to join, using the name ‘Libby Caroline.’ The station also tests a new 160-watt rig, for 30 minutes and gets 98 phone calls, some from 200 miles away.

* GBR. West Midlands. UK Radio is on air announcing a phone box number for listeners to call in, when the dti turn up at the call box, and question David Jarvis and Nigel Gordon. They insist that they know nothing about UK Radio and are listening to Radio Luxembourg. After considerable harassment from the dti official, he leaves vowing to raid UK Radio that very day… and then drives off in the opposite direction from where the station is broadcasting!
[Does anyone know when this happened?]
