MAR Merseyland Alternative Radio runs in parallel on 6335 Khz and 6340 Khz this afternoon. 6340 is stronger received in Ireland. The station can often be heard on 6340 Khz in Central Europe, 6335 Khz is much weaker usually.

Due to technical problems the announced Radio Igloo broadcast is now on 5900 Khz. Good reception in UK. Happy hunting!

A joint venture between Radio Etherfreak and Radio Skywave is active on 3915 Khz this evening. Good reception in UK about S=8. The station has nice jingles and the Radio Skywave email address is announced.

New station Techno AM is active on 6260 Khz. Some techno sounds and announcements. Emails go to proflineam@protonmail.com. Station was on air as Profline AM on 6240 Khz 2 hours ago.

Tomorrow, 5th April 2026, Marconi Radio International will be on the air, from 0730 to 1000 UTC, on 7370 kHz.

23 years ago. Paul Johnson AKA PJ the DJ passed away. Founder of UK Radio, which was to become one of the longest lasting West Midlands free stations, his passing left a hole in the free Radio scene. He is still missed to this day.

Radio Mordor was active this morning on 6205 Khz with good signals on a swedish SDR. A small carrier was also detected in central Europe. Today is public holiday in Finland expect more activity.

Radio Igloo will be on air tomorrow
On Good Friday, April 3rd, Radio Igloo will broadcast a program for the participants in the Pirate Hunt competition.

The program will be broadcast on 5775 kHz or on a free frequency nearby.

The broadcast starts at 10:00 Central European Summer Time (08:00 UTC)

De Kat is testing his audio settings on 6290 Khz this afternoon. Good reception in UK on 6290 Khz. Always nice music selection.

5955 Khz seems to be a new popular frequency. This evening Jan van Gent is using 5955 kHz. Fair reception into UK, some country music is played.

Ok Blackbeard is back after numerous weeks of testing.. other frequencies..

We are rebuilding our studio and hopefully after long work sorting computers and other equipment.. we will be back live.. Hopefully next week..

Radio Six International transmission at 2300-2400 on 1467 kHz on Saturday 28th March will be broadcast at the reduced power of 500 kW instead of previous 1000 kW. This is a test to see if there are any differences in reception quality, especially in Northern Europe. So all reports are welcome, especially if reception can be compared with previous Radio Six transmission with full 1000 kW.
