4 Feb 1961. Offshore. The Bon Jour sets sail again in another attempt to start broadcasts.
4 Feb 1979. GBR. 6260 kHz SW. Radio Atlanta International puts out an hour long test transmission ahead of regular broadcasts tomorrow
4 Feb 1985. GBR. Radio Jackie closes down as a result of the threat of legal action by licensed Radio Murcury who claim Jackie are ‘stealing’ their listeners. This says a lot for Radio Jackie’s programmes and not much about Mercury’s. The dti raid the MW rig during the closedown broadcast leaving the FM to end an era.
4 Feb. 1989. GBR. London. 94.3FM RFM is raided today
4 Feb. 1990. GBR. Colchester. 93.9 FM. Overflow Radio puts out a marathon broadcast today, the rig is now putting out 35 Watts.
4 Feb. 1996. GBR. London. 1125 kHz MW. Radio Argus London is on air 06.00 through to 04.00 the day after.
