9 Feb 1967. GBR Rochford. Mrs Dorothy Calvert is charged with contravening the 1949 WT act. She claims Radio City’s Svivering Sands Fort is outside the UK territorial limit but magistrates reject this and fine her £100. As a result Radio City closes down at midnight.
9 Feb 1987. GBR Maldon. A Radio Galaxy member receives a £300 fine today for two occasiona of broadcasting without a licence and contempt of court. Payable at a fiver a week!
9 Feb 1992. Abortive attempt to install Radio Argus London up a tower block for AM Broadcasts. All is installed and plugged in but the rig does not work. It returns to the builder.
