Radio Monique close down 918 Khz

Netherlands – LPAM-station Radio Monique will close down at the end of this year on medium wave. The station will only be available on the internet. Radio Monique says that the station has only a limited number of listeners on medium wave, due to interference from other stations on the same frequency and also interference from solar panels. Middengolf gaat eind 2023 op STOP.
Op de 918 kHz wordt het steeds drukker en drukker. Dat gaat ten koste van de ontvangst van jullie favoriete station Monique Internationaal. Een beetje gas bijgeven is niet fair naar andere gebruikers en ook onmogelijk – de RDI houdt ons scherp in de gaten.
Tegelijk nemen de kosten van het zenden op de middengolf toe. Licenties, Toezicht, Auteursrechten … alles wordt duurder.
Met pijn in het hart nemen we daarom afscheid van de 918 kHz. Dat is erg jammer voor de vele DX-ers van wie we geregeld ontvangstrapporten krijgen, maar de echte luisteraars gebruikten toch vooral internet. Daar gaan we nu nog meer op inzetten, bijvoorbeeld met een Monique-Internationaal-app.
