The Shortwave service is disappointing. Unlike the MW and FM responses, which are for requests, dedications and so on, most SW listeners seem to only listen long enough to hear a contact address and then, judging by their reports, either turn their radios off or tune away! They also use a lot of ham radio terms, which as nobody on the station is a ham operator means nothing to them initially. Requests for QSLs are seen as signed admissions to complete strangers who could be dti, that they were broadcasting without a licence giving time, date and frequency and are refused.
