This says a lot for Radio Jackie’s programmes, often with a weak signal, and nothing about Radio Murcury’s, which have considerably higher power and are 24 hours. The dti even raid the MW site, on 1332 kHz as the station is officially closing down. The FM is left to finally close the station down at 19:05.

* GBR. London. 94.4 FM. Another station, run by a TV engineer, Abe Cohen, Radio Aquarius, starts broadcasts, and forms the LTIR, or London Transmitter of Independant Radio. This is to involve other stations, but unlike Radio Free London and the Helen Broadcasting Network, all these stations come from the one transmitter, not various different ones that turned on and off in turn and could only be heard in different places. Relaying has come of age. Stations thus relayed include: Radio Jackie, Radio Star, Radio London Underground [RLU], JFM [Which grew out of the Jackie VHF Saturday night service], Radio Classic and Radio Odyssey [Ideally I would like start dates and end dates of these stations]
